2022 was a breath of fresh air after 2 years of challenges as we navigated the pandemic, we were able to resume most events in person, and it was awesome to be out and about again. The non-profit world continues to offer virtual and in-person as they figure out how to blend offerings to accommodate everyone. Our team continued the trend of community support during a time when non-profits needed it the most. Below is a summary of some of the causes we were able to contribute to because of our client's partnerships, despite the many challenges fundraising posed this year, we were able to give back over $15,000 to various organizations!
Heading Home Boston: Heading Home’s mission is to end homelessness in Greater Boston by providing a supported pathway to self-sufficiency that begins with a home, together with critical services such as life skills, financial literacy, and job training. Our friend, Clayton Wentworth, and his wife are very involved in this cause and it's one we are happy to support. It was a fun night at SOWA as we started the Spring season of giving.
2022 Cambridge Montessori Spring Auction Gala: Cambridge Montessori School was founded in 1963 to foster a love of learning and to educate children to be caring, socially responsible citizens of their community and world. To learn more about the school click here.
Room to Grow supports parents and caregivers as they activate their natural strengths and expand their knowledge, so children thrive from the start. Families in their program develop strategies to promote their children’s development, select baby and toddler items for their children, and connect with other local organizations and community resources that can expand their support network.
National Braille Press Gala A Million Laughs for Literacy 2022 Event: This event is always inspiring, well run, and offers amazing silent and LIVE auction items that are often exclusive to this event. This year was no exception even with transitioning back from 100% virtual to blended in-person and virtual. Tom Sullivan, the founder of Lumber Liquidators, introduced me to this event 18 years ago, and I haven't missed one since. This year we focused on how through ART you can FEEL the braille and power of literacy. NBP continues to support impaired readers around the globe, including the creation of braille tactile and educational materials. For more information, and to support NBP click here. Special shout out to the Prime Building and Development team for their attendance and generosity this year! We were able to raise over $180,000 the night of.
Music Drives Us: Ernie Boch's Foundation: Since 2006, Music Drives Us has donated millions in grants to hundreds of individuals, organizations, and schools throughout New England. Our grants allow programs to purchase new instruments, equipment, sheet music and more to better teach the next generation of musicians. MDU is proud to continue to expand our reach each year and looks forward to future partnerships with New England schools and music programs. Thank you to Ernie Boch for hosting such a fun event for a great cause.
Greg Hill Foundation: The Greg Hill Foundation responds to immediate requests for assistance, to improve the lives of local families touched by tragedy, through matching the charitable donation of Greg’s media audience. We are happy to expand our donations to this local charity that helps so many families in need and impacts the community around our home base in Boston, MA. We can't wait to see what events in 2023 we are able to support as an organization.
Cambridge Montessori School: Our daughter Mabel enjoyed 3 years, Ruby 4 years at the school, and Ivy began her Green room journey in Fall 2022. We are happy to be part of such a diverse and passionate community of parents and teachers. To learn more about the Montessori journey, or to support this school directly CLICK HERE.
We also supported various local organizations including Pann Mass Challenge, Medford Dance Haven Scholarship fund, American Heart Association, Girls Scouts Troop in MA, Boys & Girls Club of America, National Alzheimer's Association, JDRF in support of our friend's NYC marathon journey, Local Police officers, and Fire Departments of Newton and Medford MA and more...
These were some of the highlights of our charitable partnerships this year. It was great to support causes we are passionate about, but also causes that our clients and friends are passionate about.
"Individually we are one drop, but together we are an ocean." I can't wait to see what 2023 brings, hopefully, more chances to connect in person and support the communities we serve!
